Cheapest way to get Spotify Premium back into your Tesla

A free in car only Spotify account has always been included with Tesla's Premium Connectivity subscription. But from 1st December 2024, Tesla withdrew this and you now need to either use a Spotify Free account or pay for a Spotify subscription.
The Spotify Free account obviously has some restrictions and adverts, which I found a pain in the car. So I went about to find the cheapest way to upgrade the Spotify Free account within the Tesla to a Spotify Premium account. I soon discovered that all the introductory offers (of 1, 2 or 3 months free) didn't work because I assumed this was only for new accounts, not existing free accounts. The normal price for a Spotify Premium Individual subscription is £11.99 per month.
The cheapest (legal) way I found was to buy an annual Spotify Premium gift card. This cost £99, so saved me £44.88 over the year. So now for the equivalent of £8.25 a month, I have Spotify Premium back in my Tesla Model Y.

Good tip I'm still "borrowing" my brother's account even cheaper until he notices 😊. If he does I'll have to go down the gift card route

It shows how much people get ripped off. I was cancelling and then only paying when I needed it again, but £99 isn't bad for what you get. The ethics of it are another thing all together.
