Here's a little friendly tip for all of you. Add some bone meal also and the secret for transplant shock is Vitamin B1. It will help it from being stunted for about 2 weeks to only a couple of days. And I usually add a thin layer of non fertilized soil between the roots and the fertilizer I add to the hole, just in case its a little strong and wont burn a young tender transplant. Later on it will not have to go far to find dinner. Thanks Cali Kim..I grew up in Ventura county . I miss the weather now that its finally raining again down there. QUADS....

I'm attempting to grow a rare black watermelon from seed. It's about 60% seed success ratio so don't be discouraged. This is my first try and thank-you for the great pointers because in zone 7 I would of lost all the work in progress. Thx again and will come back after harvest to let you know how things worked out. Happy growing folks

I planted sunflowers a while ago, and some are already a few feet tall. Some didn't make it. So i planted some more seeds and then a slug came along! and it just ate away at the stem of my sunflower seedling. I thought that i was just gonna have to plant another seed but i put the fallen over seedling in water. and wow! just like the basil and mint it grew new roots! I replanted it in the garden today and got rid of all those nasty baby slugs! Thanks kim and camera guy love your videos!!! super inspirational :-)
