Too many people give up too easily on relationships because they are not prepared to talk it through. Luckily I found someone that i can now after many years.

Whatever you do, marry a KIND person. A kind person is still nice during arguments, in sickness, in low moments and be KIND yourself. Kindness is the first virtue on the list when looking for a spouse.

103!? That woman has kept him alive and THRIVING. If this isn’t the prime example of “happy wife, happy life” and “happy spouse, happy house” I don’t know what is.

Next year, my parents will celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary. They've been a couple for 74 years. Their advice: "Laugh at *everything.* Sharing laughter is the ultimate love potion."

Communication is the key 🔑!!! A lot of people breakup because there’s “misunderstanding”! Because they fail to sit down and communicate!

After 12 years of marriage, i can tell you that's 100% true. Just be kind, that doesn't mean you don't argue... it's But if you really want to be together, you both will work on it. Be nice, be kind.

The difference is 82 years ago when they got together people had morals. There was no phones or Snapchat or texting other people and entertaining others. These two have probably never been with anyone else and are happy with that.

Communication is absolutely key. If someone shuts off, or stops talking all together, whatever excuse they give to not talk, THAT dooms a relationship. Because talking IS hard, but I worry that more people nowadays don't want to talk because it's seen as TOO hard. The difficulty of talking and communicating hasn't changed, only the perception of it has.

My grandma used to say this to me: never go to sleep angry while having a clash but most important not without getting it out of the world and being fine with each other…(she said that and mentioned- you never know if you are going to be able to see the other person alive and well next day…she was living through both big wars 🙂‍↕️).
My grandparents were chattering about how their day was and what’s going on with the people in their village and some other stuff they did through their day every single night when they go to bed and already had switched off the lights.

Communication is very important. If you can’t communicate, it won’t work.
people get mad and don’t communicate the reason to their partner. They just get mad and fight.
When most of the time, it’s just misunderstanding, and could be easily resolved by just talking.

That's the problem, nobody wants to talk anymore. They just fight or decide every little thing is too much and they go look for where the "grass is greener".

They're in their 100s and they barely have any gray hair. Their age alone is proof enough of their wisdom.

Number one problem in relationships God is not number one in our lives i married first then became a Christian i am not saying every thing went perfectly being a Christian because both of us had a lot of baggage having Jesus Christ in our lives helped us to overcome a lot of issues we had in our marriage i advise anyone to put God first you can avoid a lot of heart aches sign Cynthia Smith

Communication is key! The partner can be nice. but, if the partner dismisses your feelings & never wants to do the work to resolve anything together & sweeping it under the carpet, it’s not healthy. It’s a hurtful & cruel feeling when your partner dismisses how you feel & then makes you feel like you’re too emotional.
