always amazing how google never intended to release it, until chatgpt released, always shows that no competition for companies leads to 0 innovation

Google forced to try and show their un finished a.i. because of investors and Chat GPT.

The truth is chatGPT as a product is not something Google thought about because they don't want to cannibalise their search business.

This is search 2.0 and Google might lose due to hubris.

As a marketer, choosing BARD for a name may not have been the best approach. Better names out there 😅 but wish them success ❤

I'd imagine that Google's data set would be better than MS because almost nobody uses Bing.

ChatGpt is nice, but I would rather like to read from a lot of sources than blind foldedly believe in that one thing whichever pops up.

Giving one right answer via generative AI is against Googles revenue model. It’s like cutting its own branch… that’s why I guess they’re lagging behind. But now they have no option

Biggest problem with the capitalist model is when there's only one player- a 'monopoly', and that company never innovates because it doesn't have a threat. They become complacent. Smart and hard working men go from "I live and die by what I stand for" to 'made men', and won't lift a finger unless it threatens their way of living.

Successful people don't become that way overnight. what most people see at a glace- wealth.a great career, purpose-is the result of hard work and hustle over time.I pray that anyone who reads this will be successful in life.

OpenAI is a start up and don't hold as much Capital and a dependable reputation as Google. Should something go wrong with the model, Google is more sue-able then OpenAi, who does not have as much money.

There are ethics concerns with AI and maybe they wanted to address or create safe guards for those concerns. Does that not seem more responsible? OpenAI probably does not care about these concerns and just wants a competitive edge.

Google's cautious approach in developing the AI Bard is the right. Considering the potential risks to the society and civilization. It would be foolish to let loose a system that can cause enormous harm before putting safety layers and controls.

This was a mess. Google could have much better just by having a better presentation, with some awe inspiring ideas and basic fact checking.
The error itself is normal, these AIs are known to be error prone, so why post a screenshot that is not fact checked.... what a mistake.
Chatgpt gets things wrong lots of times too. Just yesterday it was telling me that trees are non-living organisms. I asked it to clarify and it went on to say trees don't grow or reproduce. These tools are already very helpful regardless of not being perfect and they are getting better very fast... Google should have focused on that.

Google has lost the inspiring spirit recently, it only cared about the profit, not technology progress
