An introduction and explanation of phrasal verbs.
All the theory you need!

Even if you already use phrasal verbs, it's easy to forget the basics, so this English tutorial is appropriate for intermediate as well as advanced students. Learn exactly what a phrasal verb is and when they are used. Naturally I've provided several examples in the explanations.

In part 2 I'm going to explain the different types of phrasal verbs. In a light-hearted way, I will help you learn phrasal verbs without having to memorise long boring lists.

For an extensive list of phrasal verbs, see:

Thank you Max...For Me all your explanation on the topic is completelly understood but I really think that is better to know many of the phasal verbs due to you do not always speak in a formal way all the time and besides this across the world informality in some cases or situations is good when English language is spoken...Thanks so much for your technical explanation...have a great day sweety.

in France my teacher called these small words "postpositions" because they're all after the verb. :-)) (how the regular grammar is distorted for the good purpose)
(Note: these words in french grammar are called "preposition" too (becaue they start the follonwing group of words) amazing isn't it?)
