i would like people to notice that he didn't put the pressure washer close to anything at all. A lot of issues are found when you do that, as you are 1). putting pressure against wires, etc, where there shouldn't be 2). can force water into areas where it shouldn't be.

If you think about it, your car engine is designed to tolerate water since you will drive in rain. But rain isn't forcefully pushed against the engine components. So spraying from a distance is perfect.

Good job. Not too close with the hose and not too much pressure. It’s a rinse off, not a blast off. I always start engine and warm thru once done in order to evaporate of any water or condensation.

This is fine, just remember to cover up any open airfilter "if you have one, like the sports filters", And dont pressure wash at 10cm distance.. let it atleast be 25-30cm or more!

Remember, you are RINSING, not actually PRESSURE washing the dirt off.

key is to cover any exposed electrical and keep a constant movement of the pressure washer while keeping a solid distance on whatever you are spraying.

I see cleaners in a bmw dealer use a small jug of solution and hand wipe it down, I used to pressure wash my engine bay in a petrol station, it never had issues to be honest.

You can easily Pressure wash the Engine bay, just keep enough distance from hoses wires etc.

I had taken a water sprayer after cleaning with degreaser and didnt have any problems, most cars have water insulators on their electrical wires

It’s okay like this. But always cover up the alternator, air intakes and battery. Those parts aren’t made to deal with water… I cleaned an engine bay ones and didn’t cover up the battery. Car wouldn’t start until everything was dry and failed on the battery. That was a french car though😅

I poured hot water over my friends dad engine bay without the small plastic beauty cover, I toasted two coils and all the spark plugs. I would assume some water with the cover is fine as long as it’s not super high pressure

Is tooth brushes bad? I used that to get to a lot of small areas so that I wouldn't have to take anything apart
