"Sovereign Coronation grapes are one of the few fresh-market grapes that we can grow in Ontario that are virtually seedless. They ripen very early which is an advantage in the market and in our climate as well that we don't have to worry about frosts.

They're a great tasting grape. The acid levels go low so that the sugar can come through.

The best advice I can give to the consumers after they have purchased Sovereign Coronation grapes is to keep them refrigerated and out of the sun. They're very sweet and like most sweet fruits, the sugar will, it will ferment and you could actually make wine out of them, so if you can keep 'em cool and in the shade, they will keep tasting good for quite a few days."

I just recently discovered these little blue gems upon moving to Toronto a few years ago. They are by far my favourite grape. I am sure to gorge on them every year from late-August to early-October, haha!

So nice to have them back in season! Buy them now! Support our Canadian farmers and this great product. Don’t expect these to taste like your typical imported green or red grape, they are different! Sweet and tart at the same time.

When in season, the blue Ontario grapes are most wonderful fruits and for me, they beat any other imported grape variety.
