It's never a dull day when filming videos for you guys! What was meant to be an easy arrival at a Class Delta airport turned out to be a zoo! Listen in as I navigate back to the Ocala airport on a busy day.

I flew my Cross Country Solo today. Flew into a Class Delta airport. Along with my taxi instructions, the controller told me to "monitor ground". This video was crucial to understanding what that meant. I have not seen that described elsewhere. These videos really put me at ease today because I knew what to expect.

Well done, Jason.

Good video. I deal with this all the time at KFRG. This would have been a slow day in the pattern. Good stuff since you can never know what to expect at a class D airport. Keep your eyes outside and be on your toes!

Awesome stuff - I see that you sped up your intro a little; I think you might be able to use a pitch shift filter to avoid the audio sounding "chipmunk-y" when sped up.

I love your videos. The previous video on closed pattern work has helped tremendously with my landings.

Great video! You had a lot going on around you. I found that my heart rate increased as you got closer the the airport. I was actually feeling nervous! :)

Thanks for the Video Jason and Mrs. Jason.  Great job working your way into the airport..  most important "KEEP YOUR EYES OUTSIDE", you can't avoid it if you can't see it..  build a mental picture of where everybody is ..  Thanks J keep em coming  :)

I dont know what it is about ocala but it's a magic place where either nothing happens or chaos reigns in the pattern.

wow dude, that was hahahahaha!!! Interesting since watching more vids on rudimentary radio communications, that I did still pick up on the "basic" required communications, who u are, where u are, and what u are trying to do ;) hehehehhee!!!

Such a great video - you were always ready and thinking like the tower!! Jason, Question...is there a way to find out what traffic could potentially be prior to decision for landing? Peak hours etc.?

Thank you! Great Video! Gosh if you think this particular day was a zoo, you should see it from a student pilots point of view ><

Jason, great videos love em. New sport pilot here with just about 30 hours, wanted to ask something here. How do you tell your distance from the airport, how can you tell how far you are?

Thanks

I have not experienced planes entering the pattern at base. But I have had seen long finals. I don't like busy towers. Need to remember that the PIC is ultimately responsible for safety.
