Considering no one from Chanute has commented I'll be the first and know it made me chuckle to see such a podunk airport on this thank you for your videos!

These videos are super helpful thank you! Reading on my own was getting hard but these videos are a great little getaway from just reading! Just starting training and trying to get ground training on a roll! thanks again!

Ok, this is awesome. I pulled up SkyVector to follow along at the beginning of this video. I pulled up the Joplin airport since that's the nearest class D, just a few miles away. Then I look up at the screen and see that you did the same. I love that you're using my hometown airports to illustrate! 🙂

Tomorrow morning flying into my first class d! I went through all my notes, made what I think is a decent flight plan. I always watch your videos and remembered you have these awesome airspace short vids. This gave me a little more confidence! 😊

Great concise quality! Did my ground school 25 years ago, but this is a great refresher. In Canada it's slightly different but mostly the same.

Good video. You might mention that these towers may close for the evening, leaving the pilots to fend for themselves.

I’m going back from beginning and watching the videos and it’s starting to make since to me. These air space classifications I might have to watch a couple times. Lol

Dude these videos are so good😂
Only thing I could add is that 91.155 also requires 1000 cloud ceilings to takeoff in controlled airspace.

This may not be the right spot but why is the under cloud 500 and above 1000? If there is a large slow plane landing wouldn’t the wash be below the cloud not above?

I'm glad I saw this. I have a question about the airspace very near to Joplin. Whiteman AFB (KSZL) is E of Kansas City. It has the blue dashed line right on top of the magenta line all around the airport (Class E?). There's a note right above that says "See NOTAMs/Supplement for Class D eff hrs". I'm using Foreflight. I don't see anything in the NOTAMs and I'm not sure what a Supplement is. How do I sort this out?

Do we also call in 20 miles prior to entering, like in class Charlie?
