I honestly feel like if Gorr's character is portrayed and written properly. This could be the first MCU character to get an Oscar nomination. I have complete faith in Christian Bale, so I'm excited to see what they do.

My biggest fear is that they might nerf Gorr into the ground and make him a one-off villain that will eventually be forgotten (Whiplash, Malekith, Ronan the Accuser, can't recall some of the others). I hope I'm proven wrong - but nonetheless I'm definitely very excited to see what Christian Bale brings to the character.

As much as I'm excited to see Gorr in the MCU, I really concern due to feel like they gonna nerf him and of course, make some comedy joke with him because Taika directing it. Don't get me wrong, yes I enjoy Ragnarok...as a fun comedy movie. But the comic nerd in me, has a little bit disappointed because that is not how I thought Ragnarok movie is gonna be. Is just sad to see Thor(and Hulk) really turn out as a joke in MCU when this two are some of the big badass powerhouse in the comics.

The first Thor movie got me interested in Thor but it was this run that really cemented him as my favorite avenger. The page of him saying, "where is the butcher of gods" might be one of my single favorite images in comics. I need it as a poster. Esad Ribic's depiction of the heroic age Thor is what I'll always picture
