Nice guide, Andrew. Yes, the script runs in the Win10 VM. You have to make sure that the folder you use for the decompressed script and batch files doesn't have any spaces its name or special characters. I also couldn't run from the script/batch from the desktop and had to move it to the root of the virtual C drive, I think was a file/folder depth thing. BTW, I couldn't just run the update over my Win10 VM, Windows said that my machine didn't have the correct specifications??? Cheers, Dave.

Waiting on my MBA M1, and this is easily the easiest instruction out there, with bookmarks. Great job!

0:21 it’s even saying that it’s an Apple Silicon cpu in the settings! Wow!

Thank you for this amazingly helpful guide. I didn't have to follow all the steps that you described, but it provided me with the on ramp to get it done. I was already a Windows Insider with Windows 10 Pro installed on my M1. Trying to upgrade, I couldn't get it install because of the TPM issue. Following your guide, running the UU Dump for the Windows 11 insider was really all that I needed to do, and it worked! Much appreciated. Thank to individuals like you, so many of us are able to overcome little hurdles.

UUP works fine from a Windows 10 VM running on Parallels, just have to make sure you copy the files onto the C: and don’t leave them in a Mac accessible area on the drive, otherwise it will complain about the location formatting

Instead of getting the ARM64 version of the Windows 10, after that OS version is already installed as a VM, it might be time saving if you do the regedit hacks to bypass the TPM 2.0 check, backup the created LabConfig folder into your VM or physical OS, and then get the ARM64 Windows 11 ISO-

For me personally, when I want to install a new insider build (for which channel I want to pick, such as Beta), I would've already backed up the LabConfig registry folder, so that I can load it as soon as the installation window pops up (after I do the Shift + F10 thing, and manually launching regedit)

It works fine for me using parallels to download from UUP Dump. The files must be in the C:/ (Main folder) to work properly. And to modify the ISO file I have used an app from Mac OS (KEKA APP). Thanks a lot :D

It's asking for the serial key when trying to install Windows after overriding the files

Well, but what to do, if you’re enrolled, but it complaints about lack of TPM 2.0?

EDIT: You have to have 4 cores and 4GB of memory shared with VM.

you can run shell script in mac it self no need to run the batch file in windows

I will only install windows on my Mac when there's bootcamp method available. Aside bootcamp, I won't install using parallels

Why vmware and virtualbox are still no optimized for M1 ? Parallal is expensive !

Are you on the Release Preview channel?

Since you said it runs arm on windows ALMOST like native.

But it's performance in gaming seems so low, particularly when compared to my 5 year old laptop that can even run Hitman 2016.

I was a Windows Insider before June 24 but I don’t see the Windows 11 update in the Settings app. It’s an ARM device. Any ideas?
