10:00 let's be real mike, before Stroud was drafted no one called Nico collins a WR1 bro, you're just gassing it for your argument. Maye has a reliable TE in Henry, and has an over the middle guy with Douglas, an unknown outside guy in Polk, but Bourne is also serviceable. He just doesn't have that blindside LT, Look at what Daniels is doing with Washington, Maye could do something similar as well with New England, whether it's this year or next year.

The Texans and Commies are the best rebuttal to your method of roster building, if you hit on the QB everything else falls into place, you should never pass on one. The Texans had an awful O line and no weapons when Stroud was drafted, these look better because Stroud makes them look better (go look up what O line a WR corp were ranked right before he got drafted, 28th and 32nd iirc). The Commies still have an atrocious O line and exactly 1 good WR. If your QB needs an all pro team around to even show flashes of being good- he ain't good.

This year is to see what we have with Maye, I disagree my king on your take on passing on Drake Maye to get more assets ( I'm completely aware this team have a bunch of holes) but you can easily adress those issues through the draft and FA. I generally defer to the teams since they are in the best position to judge how ready a rookie QB is. But it sounds like front office pressure pushing to "see what they have" rather than patiently wait for the QB to naturally pick up defenses. Trent Dilfer once said that when you break the huddle, it looks like it does on film. But when the ball is snapped, it all looks totally different.
