My marriage of 26 years wasn't based on love, but convenience. The first girl I loved (we were just friends but she stole my heart), met when we were 15, lost each other when we left high school, but I've never stopped loving or thinking about her. Forty years later, we are reconnected as friends, she is single now, my own marriage is shallow and falters.
