Salsa Criolla!
One of the most versatile sauces. Use it for chicken, fish, bacalao, shrimp, etc! Definitely one of my favorites. Try it out and let us know how you like it.

Creole Sauce-
Ingredients
3 tbsp of Olive Oil
1 Medium Sliced Onion
1 Sliced Green Pepper
1 Sliced Red Pepper
3 Cloves of Garlic
2 Diced Roma Tomatoes
¼ cup of Sofrito
1 can of San Marzano Whole Tomatoes 28 oz.
2 tbsp of Salt
2 tbsp of Sugar
1 tsp of Turmeric
1 tbsp of Black Pepper
1 tbsp of Paprika
1 tsp of Red Crushed Pepper
1 tbsp of Granulated Garlic
2 cups of Water
Instructions:
1- In a sauce pot with olive oil, sauté sliced onions, peppers, cloves of garlic, sofrito and fresh tomatoes for about 5 minutes on high heat.
2- Add salt, turmeric, black pepper, paprika, red crushed pepper, granulated garlic and granulated onion to sautéed vegetables.
3- In a blender, blend whole can of tomatoes until smooth.
4- Add blended tomatoes to vegetables along with two cups of water and 2 tbsp of sugar.
5- Reduce heat to medium low and simmer for 45 minutes.
