Saying that praying to saints is necromancy is like saying that communion is witchcraft

That's not exactly sola scriptura, it's a charicature of sola scriptura. Sola Scriptura means that scripture is the only infallible source of authority, not the only authority. Creeds, traditions, and other practices still matter. Something can be outside of the Bible and still be done.

That's not actually sola scriptura. Sola scriptura doesn't say that everything needs to be found in the Bible, but that the Bible is the only infallible authority.

“For, There is one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity—the man Christ Jesus. He gave his life to purchase freedom for everyone. This is the message God gave to the world at just the right time.”
‭‭1 Timothy‬ ‭2‬:‭5‬-‭6‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every* good work” (2 Tim. 3:16–17)

First off great video! Second, (and sorry for asking again) can you talk about what is happening to St Ann’s in New York? If not, that’s cool. God bless.

I enjoy your content. I’m a Protestant who asks for intercession from Saints. The reason is quite simple. Jesus himself says the He is not God of the dead, but of the living!

Pray to the saints is to those who are alive.

Ephesians 1:1‭-‬2
Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, To the saints who are at Ephesus and are faithful in Christ Jesus: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Paul is writing to those saints that are alive and not dead.

So Ephesians 6:18 is talking to those who are alive and not dead.
So basically paul is saying we should pray for each other.

It's kind of hard to argue against Sola scriptura, when that was literally what Jesus was doing the entire time, I don't remember Jesus quoting other people over quoting the Old Testament.

In revelation is says the saints and angels basically cheer us on in heaven, praying we get closer to god. This also proves that faith and works is true.

Its literally in maccabees, conveniently the book protestants chose to remove how interesting 🧐 prayers to a Saint, with explicit reference to the Saint's ongoing intercession, in 2 Macc. 15:12-16.”

And in 2 Maccabees 12:46 evidence for purgatory is given and also shows that it is acceptable to pray for the dead

"It is a holy and wholesome thought to pray for the dead, that they may be loosed from sins."

Veneration not worship. We ask the saints to pray for us...we do not pray to them.

Guys use the earliest fathers and archeological finds like Ignatius and also the requests for prayers for the dead on 2nd century tombs

DUT 4:2 "Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you."
Rev. 22:18 "For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book"
Like it or not, but binding the people of God to traditions with no basis in the Word, what he GAVE us to GUIDE us, then its the same as adding onto it, especially if you act like he expects it from us.!

We believe in Solar Scriptura, because there are a plethora of verses like 2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:20-21, like Psalm 119:11, Hebrews 4:12 etc, that make it clear that it is sufficient and can stand on it's own.

Matthew 4:10

Isaiah 42:8

1 Timothy 2:5

Hebrews 7:25

Revelation 19:10

Acts 10:25-26 When Peter entered, Cornelius met him, fell at his feet, and worshiped him. But Peter helped him up, saying, “Stand up. I too am only a human.”

It's the words that Jesus himself spoke that are important. That is what we need to be basing our faith off of. Not souly off the words of the dead like the catholic church. Praying to the dead is necromancy, and idol worship. John 16:26 "In that day YOU will ask in My name. I am NOT saying that I will ask on your behalf. No, The Father himself loves you because you have loved me and have believed that I came from God" Jesus is saying that we may speak to The Father DIRECTLY because He loves us enough to listen to us! Do not follow the cathlic church, or the protestant church, the pentecostal, Baptist or non denominational church's either! Stop pursuing religion and pursue a relationship with Jesus our King! He loves you and wants you to draw near to Him! Peace be with you!
