I can't believe they did that. JJ deserved a better ending. He finally opens up, realizes what he needs, that he is loved and happy with Kie, and then he dies.

I think sarah falling in the water was one of my favourite scenes because jj picked himself up and saved sarah and jb's child and that proved his friendship to jb and we didn't get to see much of jj and sarah until this moment

Its so nice seeing rafe with the gang. The fact that he actually redeemed himself while topper is the same old piece of shit is amazing. Hes gonna cook with the pouges in s5 when they go after groff

I remember being 17 and watching this during covid and falling in love with the show because these kids were full of spirit. I think as I’ve grown the premise of the show has become more outlandish, but I still can’t help but watch for the friendships. That being said, JJ’s end is one of the most powerful I think I’ve seen in a show. I can’t believe it actually happened and it feels like a part of your younger goes when he does. I think this season is the best of all of them because it takes this nostalgia and turns it into something real, with consequences. Brilliant writing.

I feel like the way this season has been written was as if they were going to stop treasure hunting after this latest adventure. Hence Sarah's pregnancy. JJs death however gives the group a reason to keep going and not only get revenge but get the crown back because it's what he would have wanted.

What a stupid plot. Did the mercenaries really not check if Groff had a knife in his pocket? Also JJ let this happen twice, you should beat the guy up after Kiara was save….. I’m just mad that JJ died😭😭

If JJ’s departure was certain, they could’ve finalized the show and made the fourth season the ending season. RN it genuinely feels like the show has lost it’s entirety purpose. Personally if I were a writer, I would make the fourth season the last season. The course would be the same, a closure to Sarah and Rafe’s bumpy relationship. Them finding the blue crown, whatsoever that is and exonerating themselves, JJ’s dad starving to death in that hole, emphasizing the point that JJ does not need blood to have people to call ‘family’ and maybe a snippet of future, Sarah and John B’s official weddin; Rafe walking with Sarah to the aisle, little JJ, their kid, being the flower kid, Pope bringing his life together and being off to college with Cleo, JJ and Kie opening their own workshop, maybe engaged. That’s the dream, and perhaps ending at the fourth season would lessen the profit, but at least most fans wouldn’t have to see their comfort character dying in a foreign country without getting a proper closure with any of his friends other than Kie.

am grieving, jj is THE main character. And made outer banks, outer banks. It will be so difficult to go on with the last season of outer banks without him, and the thought of the whole show coming to an end. But yes i do believe season 5 will be the one of the best seasons yet. Now that we most likely will be more on the friendly side with rafe and for once have him on the pouge area. The pouges took a big loss this season not only with JJ, but also the treasure. But lets hope that we will likely having a big win in season 5.

edit: And another thing. JJ should’ve been buried at home and not in the middle of the desert😭😭.

Damn that was a terrible way to go. Hard to watch JJ die like that. I really wished JJ had a happy ending because if anyone deserved it, it was JJ. Such an amazing character. Rudy might not have been the lead but he definitely stole the show. Knocked it out the park. Outer Banks has been cutting it close with impossible miracles. Having one of the main cast members die, especially someone like JJ made it way more unpredictable. I really hope Luke gets to kill Groff. I feel like it would be a good arc to see him avenge JJ

I feel like they wouldn’t have added that the crown gave someone a wish if they didn’t intend for the characters to use that wish to bring JJ back. Like they don’t add anything in on accident, so I feel like they added this in on purpose to give people hope for JJ

This whole season, especially the second half, felt so fan-fiction-like and badly written, and felt as if they rushed everything in the last few episodes ; JJ spent the whole season being a caricature of himself by being even more hot-tempered and unpredictable, almost ruining his character, and in his last moments saves Sarah to redeem himself as if the writers wanted to remind us "when he'll die you have to be sad because deep down he's thoughtful and nice". The last episode was also so frustrating ; JJ and Kie manage to take an armed guy down and don't take his weapon to defend themselves, especially when it's highlighted they only have "one bullet left" ? Rafe can take 2 guys in the sandstorm but cannot go after Dalia ? Kie just standing watching Groff gutting JJ ? I'm not mad they killed a main character, How To Get Away With Murder did it and it's such a great twist when it's pulled off right, which is not the case here imo. I'll defenitely watch s5 to see how it ends, but this season was a meh
