i don't think the writers fully understand just how cruel his death was. having such a horrible upbringing and seeing this character find his people, his friends who felt like family is such a glimpse of light and hope for people who struggled with similar issues, i just know many many people can see themselves in him. his last few days of life were genuinely horrible and to die in the hands of his father who was even far worse than his fake dad he was abused by his entire life.. i will never forgive y'all for that actually.

I just read a similar comment and I totally agree with the fact that the depth of JJ's character deserved a better outcome or ending, he represented resilience like no one on the show did, and to die by the hands of a STRANGER, cause that is what his "father" is, was just incredibly disappointing and like some one else already said: just cruel.

Losing JJ is like watching the light go out in someone who deserved so much more than what life gave him. He was the one who held everyone up even when he crumbled quietly under the weight of a broken home, fists clenched to hide the bruises life left on him. He carried all this hurt, all this rage and somehow still managed to give so much of himself to his friends and to everyone who needed him. JJ was the fighter who stood up for others but he was also the boy who just wanted to be loved, to be seen, to matter. And now he’s gone. He left this hollow ache that feels unfair like the world stole the best part of him before he ever got a chance to heal. It honestly feels like a crime to have known his light only to see it snuffed out too soon.
