Guys, the 30 series is nearly TWO YEARS OLD now. MSRP should not be the "normal price" for these cards, especially the ones that were released after the chip shortage. Even if they're in stock and widely available, the pricing is still completely fucked, please don't pretend we're "back to normal"

Just waiting for GPU prices to stabilize (ie drop) just a little bit more before I bite the bullet. I can afford one now but not so keen on the slight markup, but definitely looking forward to the jump from my GTX 970!

We need a new kind of benchmark when the next GPU released. Such as :

- GPU scalped per week
- GPU unavailability per week
- GPU performance per scalped prices
- and any other related measurements due to the weird situations.

Yay, 2020 GPUs are back to being at 120% their already inflated MSRPs. Hooray!

Invoking the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle, GPUs never left, just their exact position could not be measured while having such high momentum.

I work at a Best Buy and we’ve had 30+ gpus for the past month.. it’s weird being around this many cards

They waited so long that I realize just how good my GPU is and have no plans on retiring it for quite a while. Thank you for outpricing me in the market.

I loved how evga magically came out with a massive stock of refurbished 10's, 20's and 30's series then priced the 10's and 20's higher than they were msrp and 30's only $100 off a new 30 series with all cards only having 1year warranty. lol

12:53 I think the Linus reference was about the RED digital cameras having proprietary crap.

Hmm, so nVidia GPUs are being designed more quickly and efficiently by employees that don’t have salaries or other associated costs? I see no problem with this. I’m positive nVidia will pass these savings on to consumers, too.

These cards are nearly 2 years old. They're supposed to be BELOW msrp. People patient enough will wait for that day.

Remember this is not the original MSRP for these cards…this is an artificially increased MSRP due to the Etherium Mining craze 😯

I guess I really did make a score ... I was on EVGA's waiting list for the 3050 (non OC version) and got an email on the 18th, frantically clicked the link and low and behold, it was there, with a $20 instant rebate!. They did hit me for full UPS 2 day ($16), but I still saved ... $4 under retail total!
They still show in stock, for retail ($249), but free shipping. Certainly nowhere near a high (or even middle) ender, but actually at RETAIL!?!? About the best dollar per frame deal available right now, I think.
Thx for all your content Paul ... the rabble couldn't move forward without you!!

GPU prices are still screwed in my country (India). People blame distributors and retailers for piling stock and driving the prices up, portraying therer's no stock.
3060 - 22% hiked (OOS) and 38% hiked cards are in stock
3060 ti - 45% hiked (in stock)
3070 - around 35% (in stock)
3070 Ti - 22% (OOS) and 32% hiked in stock
3080 - 41% for 10GB models, 12GB models are hiked more
3080 Ti - 20% and in stock
3090 - 40% and in stock
the only card that is available at MSRP is 3090 Ti.

Have GPU prices really improved? Considering the current Gen is nearly 2 years old and new generation is expected by end of this year, I think MSRP isn't a realisitic price point to compare to. At least not as much as vendors might want us to believe...
I mean, come on, who would, 2 years ago, bought a 1, 5 years old GPU for MSRP?

GPUs are back!
Me looking like John Travolta in Pulp Fiction.

My local best buy had a full shelf of gpu's in stock, I was shocked

Over two year old gpus still aren't even at msrp pft... nope plus new 4000/5000 series (whatever nvidia calls them) towards the end of this year. Naw I'm good.

The subtle "your mom" joke actually made my jaw drop. Hats off sir. You got another thumbs up when I regained my composure.

Paul, I have no idea how you manage to so consistently and effectively juggle the balance of keeping your videos both informative and entertaining simultaneously, but you do it better than any other tech YouTuber I follow. Keep up the good work! 🧡
