Yes they would have recieved a decent wage, it was one of the recruitment drives of the empire, join up and see the galaxy etc. Luke would have joined the academy and sent the wages back home to Owen and Beru
It is likely though that the majority of the wage was sent to the families account on the respective homeworld or some other account, officers would not have used the money on a daily basis
