Convert LIGHTROOM PRESETS into LUTS to Color Grade Your Video Footage!

today we're going to convert our LIGHTROOM PRESETS into LUTS! This is going to let us apply our lightroom presets onto our video footage in editors like premiere pro, final cut and davinchi resolve.

using this program, we apply our lightroom preset to a photo, then apply it onto a special image called a HALD, which is then converted into a lut! super easy and only takes a few minutes to go from lightroom preset into a LUT!

this method lets you use your Lightroom presets to colour grade your video footage by converting the presets into a format used to colour grade video called a lut.

Hey great tutorial! I have been using this lut generator for a while but I’m struggling cause the lut I make in Lightroom doesn’t look exact to the lut that shows up in Lightroom, why is this? Am I doing something wrong? It doesn’t look exact and I’m just wondering why this is? Thanks!

this didn't work for me, i did everything the picture even changed when i applied the LUTS to export but when i put them on a clip it doesnt even show up or change the picture

Some of my presets worked okay with this method and some looked horrible. Tried it on GH5 vlog footage and iPhone footage. It is a hit or miss method, really. I don't recommend this for professional work.

The problem is you are using Photoshop ACR not Lightroom, I followed the steps to export a PNG or 100% quality JPG to convert to CUBE. But never success
