Can't imagine 11000 feeling tight for the month, but it just goes to show that lifestyle can grow to fill any amount of income.

Side note: we were in San Diego this weekend and I kept talking to my husband about your channel. We drove around downtown at night and saw a lot of homelessness and I remembered you guys mentioning it in a video. We were looking up housing prices and we’re shocked! We will stay in AZ and enjoy paying a lot less than we would in Cali lol

These videos really inspired me to start saving money. In January I set a goal to reach $20, 000 saved by the end of the year. I started the year with $11, 800 and as of today I'm $1600 from reaching that goal. Your budget spreadsheet and these videos have really helped me to achieve this, thank you guys. I never thought I'd be able to save this much money.

Movie theatres make more money off of concessions than they do movie tickets. A lot of people bring in their own food and I don’t blame them. I go for the popcorn honestly 😂 Luckily the theatre we go to let’s you walk in and buy from concessions without a ticket, their ticket podium is between concessions and the theatres. We get popcorn and go home and watch a movie 😊 supports them and saves us money as a family of 9!

I totally relate to this! We finally felt like we were at a good financial position to start expanding our family. We are expecting our first baby now and we are over the moon and then my husband got demoted lol… we also live in LA. So our rent is also very high. We could have paid less in a cheaper area but it would not be nearly as nice or kid friendly as our neighborhood we are in now. Unfortunately in LA if you cheap out you will end up in the dumps listening to police sirens all night lol. Thankfully we have family that will help with childcare so that helps a lot. Anyway, I understand swallowing this big pill when there is a decrease in income especially in a high cost of living area.

Love these videos and the transparency. It’s so interesting to see other areas of the country and how expenses can do widely vary (I’m in Wisconsin) 💙

I have a question. Where do the 600 suprise dollars come from in respect to your budget? I would have expected that you would have to substract those from the 1100-ish dollars "you had left to play with" after April and May combined. Weren't those 1100$ the reason why ally could send more money to your downpayment fund?

Thanks again for keeping up the series. I like it a lot!

I agree with you about movie prices and the TILE. We moved into our house 13 years ago and I want to rip that S%$# out and get smooth counters.

I mean my wife and I pull in about 9K Net a month (gross is higher) but we do not have kids and can take advantage of high interest rates on our accounts. But, we also don't have kids and live in a relatively low cost of living area so we can save quite a chunk of our change. Different for everybody.

It has to be a movie I REALLY want to see that would benefit from being in the big screen. Only movie this year I'm thinking of seeing in theaters is Oppenheimer. Part of the problem is theater decorum. People can be really rude, talking in the theater, being on their phone, can really ruin the experience. I get the rant lol

I enjoy watching your videos. I am not a millennial however, lol. I am looking for hysa for some of my moms money. I know Ally is your top, but what do you feel about Capital One, PNC or CIT? It’s all foreign to me. I’m looking to move it from WF and park it unless an emergency comes up. TIA for your thoughts.

wow, $6, 400 in two items. Have you guys ever thought on move to another area? more affordable? 38% on rent from your take home is a little too much.
