John understands him so well! It's just amazing how he takes his time explaining what Sherlock is doing to someone who wouldn't understand

Real technique taught in my psychology class, it’s how people who memorize things competitively are able to remember thousands of things in short times

I love how Sherlock doesn't ask Watson to leave

The book Memory Craft by Lynne Kelly explores this and other memory techniques. I’ve used it myself and it is an extremely good technique for memorizing large pieces of information. I would definitely recommend the read 4/5

When someone didn't teach me this technique before 😵..

For me understanding anything isn't hard but remembering it and recalling is hard .

So I imagined like there's a big universe
And there's One planet called biology..
Then I started imagining first chapter as a country and included everything as place or objects ..

I imagined them as statue or park or anything.

This was so amazing 🤎 I can remember them and recall it so easily thank you so much ..

This is the first method which really worked for me and I don't even had waste more time I just imagine while reading notes it helps alot .

I tried space repetition method before that really didn't worked for me as I couldn't remember for long time also I don't have that much time to revise one topic every day.

As overthinker this method worked fast for me so finally I'm taking advantage for my overthinking mind 😂

There's a reason why it's a palace.

Love how you can tell when they try to explain it they can't make it sound plausible, the writers were subtexting "yea this is BS, just go with it"

I keep all the stories I plan to make in my imagination cave. I didn't name it that until after watching this show, but I quite like the name.

I can only access my mind library properly when drunk ... and i can only store memories properly when i had just a sip ...

I used a technique like this when I was younger and while I can still bring it up it’s not as useful. It’s more like how Magnussen’s was portrayed. I could envision files that I could scroll through and access with sub-folders. It was just a weird thing I did wish I had kept that up.

It's the same thing that Patrick Jane from The Mentalist does

It really helps remembering tbh

Dude this technique is so effective. I tried it and you literally don't forget anything. It's crazy.

In my " mind palace " someone comes and cleans my house. Hasn't work so far.

Interesting a palace…. For me it’s a big storage room and stuff is labeled for the sake of order. Tho these days, it’s hard to even find the path to the warehouse.

This sounds very similar to a trick Roman speakers like Cicero used in a trial. They would connect what they would say to things in the house and memorize it by walking around their house

Her questions are funny.
Prob how a regular person would react to the same situation.
