Pitios is located in north central Chios, among pine forests (after which it was named). There is a recently restored Medieval tower at the top of the village, with Agios Dimitrios church right next to it. The buildings and houses are built of stone, and the streets are narrow with arches. There are many beautiful churches in this mountain village, as well as restaurants and cafes. There are festivals in Pitios on the 14th and 15th of August.
