I was driving from Washington state to California. I passed the volcano in Oregon, that erupted 5 days after I passed it. I saw the plumes.

I love videos like this that show off the incredible beauty of our great country. Even as a natural born American, I can watch these videos and appreciate them as much as someone who is from Russia. I have not been to every one of the places shown on this video and was amazed at how beautiful there were too. It brought a tear of happiness and pride to my eye to hear this young man's reaction to these beautiful places in my home country!

One of the best ways to experience the USA is to visit our large network of National Parks. They are the most beautiful places in the nation, and inexpensive to visit. If you enjoy camping, many of the parks offer campgrounds as well (cheaper than hotels and certainly lovelier!). A road trip around the country to see our National Parks is so worth it. I've been to about half of them so far. :)

You would need to spend a lifetime in the US to experience it all. Dont even know if that would be enough time. I'm in Louisiana just north of New Orleans, and I learn things about this state every day.

Best way to see the USA is rent or buy a rv and drive across the country. If you do take the time and stay off the highways and drive the smaller roads that parallel the highways you get to see the towns and find more of America. The highways you're going to fast to really enjoy anything. Every town has its own history to explore but it would probably take two lifetime to see everything. When you do visit I hope it's everything you imagine.

And this is why Americans are criticized for not traveling abroad. Why would we? I have traveled abroad many times in my life, and there was no country as beautiful as my own.

As a New Yorker we get a negative rep but we are actually pretty friendly I think but I’m bias and it is the most diverse city cause you can meet someone from every country here

This reminds me a lot of the American book “Into the Wild”. Since English isn’t your native language, I can imagine it would be quite hard, or take more time to read, but you’ve read a lot of other English books, so maybe, sometime, you’d like to read it
