Air 2S has been an absolute joy for me over the last 3 years and a titanic workhorse. The Air 3 launch was quite a let down for a mainly stills shooter (me!) and despite the spin at the time, the 'upgraded' Air 3 sensor was inferior for stills by quite some way in my eyes so I skipped that half hearted offering. I even took a call from a DJI researcher at the time who asked me if I was going to upgrade, but my downer on the Air3 sensor was greeted with "Yes, I'm hearing that a lot".

This looks more promising, and if there's a beacon thrown in with the main 1" sensor I might just buckle, but it's gonna take something mighty impressive to wrench the Air 2S from my hands and my heart .

I have had the Neo for 3 weeks now and eagerly anticipate the Air 3s. I was actually excited when I saw the email from DJI this morning. Can't wait to get my meaty paws on this new drone!

I own 7 DJI Drones, & I just ordered my 8th, the Mavic 3 Pro. I have the Mini 3 Pro, Mini 4 Pro, AIR 2S, AIR 3, DJI FPV Drone, Avata 2, Neo, all Fly More Combo's. I love my AIR 3 & was hoping the 3s was going to have decent zoom capabilities, for wildlife videography, but it doesn't look like its going to. I ordered tbe Mavic 3 Pro for filming wildlife. I got a decent deal on a new in box sealed Mavic 3 Pro with RC controller for $1760. I ended up buying 2 spare batteries a waterproof hard case & rc protector with sun shade for the controller. $2100 for everything, Ill be in it for $2500 with the 2 year care refresh plan. I'll end up selling my AIR 2S & Mini 3 Pro to help fund the Mavic 4 once its released.

Man…great news! DJI has been playing around with a tracker since the first Mavic Pro. Yuneec Typhoon series had it. It makes sense. It will certainly give the pilots peace of mind. No more bike wrecks looking back to see if your drone is following you. 😂

Question about the batteries. Can the Air 3 batteries be used with the Air 3S drone?

If there no true vertical video and the quality doesn't outreach the mini 4 pro I dont see why you would jump to this and not just wait for the Mavic 4. Im not that desperate for a zoom to ditch the m4p for most hobbyists.

Rumors say that DJI claims 14 stops of dynamic range from both of these two sensors? Hahaha!, ..somebody is lying....dirty style. It's extremely hard to get 14 stops of DR on even a large full sensor! Not even Panasonic's GH7 with it's cutting edge MFT sensor that uses dual gain conversion can reach 14 stops. There is no 1 inch sensor that can give 14 stops. That rumor is hilarious! Expect 11 or 11.5 stops. If it could do "that"...it would be spectacular.
