Hey I’m just using this drone for the 1st time today. Little Tip when you select Active Track you have to tap the MIDDLE of the Circle to CONFIRM the ANGLE of the position of the drone you want to follow from. That’s why you were having so much difficulty in the video getting it to track the side of your vehicle. Again for clarity.

Step 1. Drag the box around the subject you want to track, in this case your car.

Step 2. Select the ANGLE you want the drone to follow from. (Front, Back, Left, etc…)

Step 3. Click the middle of the circle on the SUBJECT to confirm the angle. In the case of this video you would click on the CAR if he had tracked a person in the middle of the “Angles Circle would be an icon of a person.

lastly you click GO.

Hopefully this helps someone. Today was my first time ever flying a drone. I’m officially addicted. 🙏🏽

I think tracking from the sides, needs the object to move for a little while, before the drone adjust its position according to the object being tracked. It would be interesting if you tried once more and then let it track you from the left side for eg a minute to see if it adjust itself.

4:17 I’d say that corner is more like 130-135 degrees

90 degrees is like the corner in: L that’s 90 degrees

You can still fly in parallel active track- just slide your finger left in the center of the direction compass.

Nice review, the active track is usable for some nice shots, but lots of room for improvement indeed. Likely they will fix it with software updates, it would be nice if they'll add some adjustable parameters for different use cases too. Max speed with active tracking is 12m/s so might be usable for MTB tracking on a technical course. The 70mm lens is a very nice feature too.

wondering why you paid no attention to the ( failed to load dynamic safety data geo awareness function degraded) warring that continuously popped up on the screen ??
it would be nice for the viewers to understand what that is and how it may have been effecting the outcome of your testing?

Great job, liked and subscribed! You are the only on youtube who showed limitation of CE. more information is very interesting. They claim o4 now is 10Km reach in CE, that would be very interesting to test, it looks like marketing bluff to me bth, as my mini3pro only can do max 2km (I have spotter with exertional vision), this is all about transmitter power and not sure how new antennas 5.1GHz going to help that. Still possible to test that on dry land, with help of 2 people, one holding the drone in hand (on the hill) and second person walking away... :)
