These will be perfect for my granddaughter. She is in marching band and needs fingers gloves but yet needs the mitten after she plays. Thanks Caleb.

Funnily enough my husband and I were in the Harry Potter shop in London's Kings Cross station just last week and they had convertible mittens for sale. I told my husband that I had a pair when I was kid and of course he then asked me if I could knit him a pair. You have just saved me from going down an internet rabbit hole looking for a pattern! Thank you, thank you! 😘😘

I did the exact same thing with the tin can mittens to make convertible mittens for a six year olds Xmas gift. Works great.

This video came at the right time, as this is the point in the pattern where I did not understand the written instructions. You just saved me a trip to my LYS. Thank you 😊

Thanks for this! I have a pair of gloves that are a bit thin but really soft and I didn't know what do to with them. Now I'll just make them convertible!

I was working on a standard pair of mittens for my husband when he asked me if it was possible to make convertible mitts. Here you are with the absolute BEST tutorial on YouTube for convertible mitts. Thank you for sharing these easy to follow instructions. I can’t wait to go to the fiber festival near me next week to shop for some special yarn for my hubby’s special mitts. Love your content. Keep doing what you do! ❤

Fairly new knitter here. I was a tad intimidated at the thought of this modification but it came out great. My first glove, I should have tried it on before I started decreasing because it’s just a hair to short but the right handed glove is great. Thanks for the tutorial

Oh Caleb! Thanks for this! Perfect for our below zero temps right now. I’m finding it necessary to double up a glove and a mitt to keep my fingers from freezing.
