Ayreon - Day Four: Mystery

This is a quick testing for an impromptu project: Ayreon's sixth album, The Human Equation, released twenty years ago, in 2004.
First, this is redundant, as many of my projects. The album is well represented on the official Ayreon channel. A remastering may or may not be in the works. Why did I feel like tackling it, then? Well, I was listening to some version uploaded here and felt it was flat.
truth be told, when you work with something already densely layered, the results may vary. I felt some songs have benefited from the iZotope treatment, and others didn't. So I tried Pain, which isn't so challenging dynamics wise, but is an anchor for the story, and Mystery, with a very powerful sonic swirl. If they don't work, the project will not work.
The personnel involved was:
Arjen Anthony Lucassen – all electric and acoustic guitars, bass guitars, mandolin, lap steel guitar, keyboards, synthesizers, Hammond
Ed Warby (Gorefest, Hail of Bullets) – all drums and percussion
Robert Baba – all violins
Marieke van den Broek – all cellos
Jeroen Goossens – flute
(soloists for further songs are left unmentioned)

Vocalists
James LaBrie (Dream Theater) as Me
Mikael Åkerfeldt (Opeth, Bloodbath) as Fear
Eric Clayton (Saviour Machine) as Reason
Heather Findlay (ex-Mostly Autumn) as Love
Irene Jansen as Passion
Magnus Ekwall (The Quill) as Pride
Devon Graves (Deadsoul Tribe, Psychotic Waltz) as Agony
Arjen Anthony Lucassen as Best Friend
Marcela Bovio (Elfonía) as Wife
Mike Baker (Shadow Gallery) as Father
Devin Townsend (Strapping Young Lad) as Rage
Peter Daltrey (ex-Kaleidoscope) as Voice (uncredited cameo)
(many of these bands are no longer active or split with their singers, so the information is dated)
