My coach always told me it’s ok to not compete and currently I don’t. I train and spar, but I don’t compete because I want my brain to stay healthy. My coach’s reasoning is simple: I don’t have to prove anything to anybody and in reality that’s all competitions are about at the end of the day. I feel the same way about Khabib. He certainly doesn’t need to prove anything to anybody
