Imagine choreographing something at this speed. I’d be out of breath and missing an eye by the first 30 seconds

I remember one of the western directors said that in Hollywood they have to speed up the fight scenes but in Chinese/Hongkong movies they have to slow it down the scenes since the actors were moving to fast in fighting choreography.

hello itrailers, thank you again for zhang yimou - i do not know any man in this movie but jet li but from john wu for (wong fai hong) - jet li before 1992 had 8 years in washington state and returned back to hong kong to be in john wu's wong fai hong. mr jet li was trained with the pole and sword from his school and mr yen was trained from a lee school with only fists. elle for jack jet

Chinese fight styles have been proven ineffective in true combat...movies like this really are just fiction and choreography....so much energy wasted with trying to display form over functionality...merely dancing if you ask me....the point of a duel is to vanquish ones opponent with the least amount of energy wasted as duels are too taxing on the endocrine system and the body. It'd why I honestly prefer the Japanese iaito over this or moreso utilizing a shield and sword which hold great advantage over both japanese swordsmanship
