I used to work in a law enforcement capacity for a major US city and learned something very interesting about traffic patterns... I was complaining to a traffic engineer about having to stop at every red light in front of the high-end shopping district at 4 AM and he explained that the shopping district had approached the city to stop traffic in front of their high end shopping mall for "safety reasons"

Of course that's a huge load of bullshit, they just wanted to stop people to increase business and advertise...🤔👈

Traffic Manager can think timed traffic lights are the way to go though.I would also make sure the speed limit on all roads are all the same as well.I don't know if that would make a difference, but I'm going to try it.

1:35 How do you select multiple intersections? - Edit: Never mind I found it. If you stop the light you have selected one of the buttons that shows up is to add junction to the current junction. Click it and then click on junction to add.

Do you have any tips for vehicle despawning? I like to play with this (cars) but it also influences trains and it means that all trains which were spawned once wont leave my railway network.

but Skib what about that is only one traffic lights instead of multiply?

Sadly this didn't work for me. I normally don't build large cities, but this time I did, and I always assumed that when I needed to learn how to do this, it would work. Nope. Before, all of my intersections cleared on every cycle. Now it's all messed up. As far as I can tell there's no way to offset the timers, so these lights are just changing at the same time. They're synchronized in that way, I guess, but traffic gets through one intersection and by the time they get to the next one it's red. in real life the green lights are staggered in synchronized systems. You can really see it in NYC, where the streets are straight. You can watch one light go green, then the next goes green, then the next and so on. Like a wave.
