Bargain Store Project #8 update

This is an update to Bargain Store Project #8. In this episode I add a second motor and give it more power to get the hovercraft off the ground.

This is the eighth episode in my new project series where I will buy an item from my local bargain stores for £1 or less and use it to make something it was not designed for, preferably a toy that my grandchildren could potentially play with.

Remember, these bargain stores also sell plenty of toys for £1 or less so the project is not about making a cheap toy. It is about taking something and 'hacking' or 'repurposing' it to do something other than what it was designed to do. I am using bargain store products to limit my initial outlay.

The components are:
Lint Remover
Polystyrene Tray (from a fast-food outlet)
Polystyrene Tray (from a pizza)

Tools
-
Soldering Iron
Wire cutters
Hot Glue Gun
Hobby Knife

Merchandise - Check both of these links if you are interested as the prices will vary and the shipping charges will be different.

Spot on. Those blades don't help. Mind you, I enjoyed sticking lots of power through it and forcing it to work. I also thought it looked good even if it didn't work well.

If you were to put a plastic bag on the bottom, and leave it a little baggy, taping it to the tray and punching holes in the bag, small holes, then it would fill up with air, and push air out more forcefully push in the hovercraft of the ground, I just made a hovercraft today and it works very well, I used some of the same materials.

Sadly, no Semar, I wish I had though...

The pitch of the fan blades look too coarse to me, could you heat the plastic and reduce the angle of attack?.
