Joe (my husband) and I are exactly the same way.. we do everything ourselves.. when we renovated our victorian house in Knoxville we gutted the whole place out.. hung the drywall ourselves ran the whole house with new electricity put in the plumbing.. ..joe even framed in our shower wall by the tub.. the thing is, you bond with your house so much when you do things yourselves.. plus we saved a ton of money PLUS the no headaches from idiot people that didn't know what they were doing lol..Joe likes doing even his car things his own without help from mechanics.. I'm so glad you guys found your dream home and i hope you have many many years of joy and happiness in it.. love you guysxoxo

So excited for you guys!! It's crazy how I don't know you in "real life", but I feel like something fantastic just happened to a good friend, and I wish I could hug your necks and be excited there with you. (just like when you got the TV show) You guys have patiently gone through the trials and finally it's all the paid. I know it's chaos for you Laura but just take each step as it comes, enjoy the process, make fun memories, and you will have it in tip top shape in no time. ;) Just keep calm and paint, shop, and plan on! LOL!  The house is gorgeous by the way. Love the vineyard in the back, and the paint color. Can't wait to go on this journey with you! You guys deserve it!

Laura, we just bought our new house this month too and we spent two weeks just refinishing the old hardwood floors that were under the carpet. Haven't even gotten a chance to paint and all while trying to get our stuff in and three kids! You can do it, .it's just going to take one day at a time! Congrats again to you and Joe on your beautiful new home!
