OMG I can’t believe I found you!! I bought a 4k Apple device which I was told I could tape programs with at Best Buy. I did see something that said I could do it with the 4 k apple but I needed to also use a Mac computer and it was very confusing. This I will have to watch over but it still seems pretty straightforward. I think you go over things very well

I kind of knew most of the features and limitations prior to purchase. It does what it's supposed to. I bought it to record one season of one particular show featured on Roku Live TV. The few problems I had are that it became unresponsive a couple times which required a restart using the power button then the source button. I also had the remote stop functioning a few times. I haven't even had it 24 hours yet but was thinking it needed a firmware update but couldn't find how to actually do that. They offer the download on their website but no instructions on whether to hook the device to a pc or put the download on the usb storage. The other problem may be related to my Roku. I set up 4 recording sessions to happen in the future over 4 evenings. This isn't like a DVR or a VCR where you set it and forget it. It has no ability to change channels so it's up to you to set up the channel prior to recording and don't change it. My bigger issue is that my Roku seems to sense that nobody is watching anything and shuts down and the Cloner would record the home screen instead of the program. Maybe I can find where it never times out and just keeps playing live TV with the display TV off. My test record worked fine though.
