Pure Aero 98 vs. VCORE 98 vs. Extreme Tour: Player's Spin Rackets | Rackets & Runners

We were recently reviewing the Aero 98 and VCORE 98 V7 which got me thinking, player's spin rackets are becoming insanely popular. They're some of the most well rounded on the market, and these three are our pick of the bunch.

Vcore 98 tour is a gem. Super well-rounded like you said. Good for serve, volley, FH, BH, slice. Beautiful racquet

Really good review, very enjoyable to watch. All the information was well put together and I found this super helpful. I currently use the latest ezone 98, but will try the vcore once the price comes down a little.

Loved the in depth comparison between these 3 solid choices of spin oriented racquets! Just a minor observation, you said that only the Head Extreme Tour has spin grommets out of those 3 racquets, however the Pure Aero has them as well.

The ET is a super weak frame in stock. You have to add a good amount of weight to get the same performance as an Aero 98. This is why the Aero 98 is so good, it works perfect in stock. It has Control/Feel, Spin, Power, Stability and all in a manageable package.... lots of ppl seem not to understand this aspect. If you weight a racquet up, u have to wield this thing around for 1-2 hours. More static weight means faster fatigue, unless you have the fitness of a pro maybe., )

I love my Prince Tour 98 ESP 16X16 old school my favorite racquet of all time and I can't quit using it after 8 years.

I am a kinda intermediate level player. The shot I feel confident the most is forehand (consistent and can generate plenty of spin and power). However, I really have struggle with backhand and currently feel best at the net when I hold prostaff. What racquet do you rhink suit me the best out of these 3.

I've been playing one-handed backhand and found Extreme Tour pretty good when playing from baseline but lack of directional control, Regna 98 is a good one in terms of control and power

Thinking of switching to one of these. Currently using a v core pro 97 and it’s too dead and has no pop. One handed backhand

You could do a video on the classic legendary rackets like the DR98 and what rackets are most similarly available today… one for the racket nerds and one for the bosses lol.

I agree the new Vcore 98 probably is the best I have played so far. It plays better and with great control if you can swing faster! any recommendations on the string for the Vcore 98? I currently use Solinco hyper G.

Which is more arm friendly? I think that Pure Aero and Extreme are very are stiffer than V-core, no? So, do you think V-CORE is the most comfortable?

How is vcore the most power but also most control? And how is the extreme the lowest power and most flexible but least control?

Thank’s for a pleasant review! Which one of these three did you like the most in stock form (without customization)?

Hi Luca, thanks a lot for the review, exactly the comparison I was looking for. Quick question, how does the Vcore appears to be the best for control and for power ? At the opposite the Extreme which seems to have the least amount of control but still the least powerful out of the 3. Is itrelated to spin ? Consistency of the frames ? Thanks for the answer !

2:02 The pure aero 98 has spin grommets right? I know the pure aero VS has them, but maybe they removed them for this newer version.

Hey Luca - I find myself re-watching this video as I wrap up my racket search. Would you put the Whiteout 16x19 in this category as well as a direct comparison?

Great review, but now I'm no closer to deciding haha. They all have pros and cons for my game. I lose confidence if the ball flies off my strings with too much power so I string pretty high at 62 lbs in my Wilson Ultra Tour and 60 lbs in my Head Prestige MP with Alu Big Bangers Rough. I don't mind the loss of power. Which racquet would you recommend for control but still excellent spin, especially on slice and kick serves?
