In this week's video, I'll run you through how I focus on capturing moments when I'm in the field and how I edit them when I return home. This scene is from the Lang Co lagoon in central Vietnam and we'll be focusing on one shot involving multiple characters.

I really enjoy your video’s. It’s not often that I find a video in which the author critiques his own work and gives pointers on how to better it. It takes a strong and humble character to be willing to put your self out there in such a raw way just for the sole purpose of teaching.
You will always be your toughest critic.
Your work is amazing!

That's some beautiful light. And love how clean the images are especially shot from down low, silhouetting the people against the sky.

Absolutely stunning shots there Dylan. Always learn so much from your videos. I'm heading to Thailand in October and if I get even one shot as good as yours I'll be chuffed

Thank you for sharing your process. Again Beautiful sunset photographs. Would like to be there. I hope to do a sunset photoshoot including people soon. With this video you really inspired me to do so.
I have one question remark concerning ISO. I understand that you try to have enough shutterspeed by using a more open F stop and higher ISO setting. But why don't you use a ISO setting like ISO 640 straight away for these circumstances? My experience is that ISO 640 is a better setting than for example ISO 250 or 500 for the XT3. The XT3 has a second noise reduction step at ISO 640.

Instead of doing Photoshop, why not just open up the blacks and shadows in post? 🖖
