Diversification is the secret to optimal performance. This is why I have my interests set on market sectors based on performance and projected growth, such as stock, EV sector, renewable energy, Tech, and Health. Keep investing regularly and you'll be blown away how much it can change in a few short years. Here's to $1 million and to FIRE

I like investing in close-end funds that pay monthly dividends. The trick is to hold long term and reinvest the monthly dividends plus buy more shares on a monthly basis or when ever you can afford to. This can be easily done because close-end funds are bought and sold on the stock market just like regular stock. That’d be enough to create a portfolio that would pay you between $50k to $70k in dividend income

Are there specific financial products that can safeguard my retirement fund and this current market isn't looking great? I have few years until retirement.

Here’s what to do (I’m an analyst at a bulge bracket): (This is assuming you’re young, aren’t risk averse, aren’t in debt, the 10k is all you have, and have a 20+ year time horizon.) ~$4k into a HYSA as an emergency fund (enough to pay for at least 3 months of living expenses if shit hits the fan. $2K into VOO (s&p), $1K into QQQ (nasdaq), $1K into VB (small cap index), $1K into VTSAX (total market), and $1K into VXUS (total international).

This is bad advice. The funds have a ton of overlap, so you're buying the same thing twice. Large cap tech stocks are also very overvalued (expensive) right now are are ripe for a correction. You should diversify.

I believe investors should focus on under-the-radar stocks, especially given the present rollercoaster nature of the stock market. 35% of my $270, 000 portfolio consists of collapsing stocks that were previously respected, and I don't know where to go from here.

That $2K in a HYSA is really your Emergency Fund 😅😂

I mainly stick to growth stocks investing, but I’ve finally decided to add some ETFs to the mix. I’m considering SCHG, VOO, XLK, or SCHD.

I reached $90k today from renting and reselling modular homes from Proopsy. Thank you for all the knowledge and insights you've shared with me over the past few months. I began this journey in November 2024. Financial education is essential for over 70% of the population, as only a few are truly literate in this area.

Not bad, and I do own both. I would split the QQQ with a dividend fund like SCHD or VYM. Otherwise it's a little tech heavy as the S&P is getting more tech heavy.

My bank only pays in at 0.1%... now imagine keeping an x amount for over 10+ years...

I’ve got $75, 000 I want to put into crypto, but I’m nervous since I don’t know much about it. Can you help with a beginner strategy?

Why not QQQM, lower expense ratio, same stocks.

I like SPLG as an S&P 500 ETF, too.

For me will be voo 50%, qqqm 30%, schd 10% and 10% cash

I genuinely feel bad for anyone who did this in the beginning of the year, not just because of the market, but because there isn’t any diversity to help offset this crash.

Yeah that's my advise too 😂 Buy high, sell low 😂😂😂

Why are you overexposing yourself to the 100 biggest companies? QQQ and SPY have 49% overlap by weight, you’re heavily overexposing yourself to the technology sector and their associated risks for not much more reward.

I invested in vanguard s&p 500 ETF (VOO) IVV & SPY for liquidity Tho i'm still worried about assets allocation in my 6 figure portfolio. Any tips for improving portfolio performance?
