An emotional scene played out Thursday at a Uvalde city council meeting with frustrated family members seeking answers about the mass shooting that left 19 students and two teachers dead. NBC’s Gabe Gutierrez reports for TODAY.

I was sitting here thinking how much that lady looked like the one teacher that got killed. Then they said it was her sister. They look exactly alike. Good for her for having the courage and strength to step out and say something through all of her grief. I feel so bad for her and her family, and especially those kids that lost both parents from this.

I saw Irma's sister and immediately knew that was her sister. They look like twins. I am glad the parents are continuing to apply pressure. It is tragic that they can't even grieve in peace because they have to demand answers. If this leaders cared so much for their community, they would be transparent and would've cut the bull long ago. Don't yell at me, I feel guilty that my city's police department completely failed to protect the teachers and students because they were afraid of one man with a gun while they had protective gear." Completely ridiculous. I don't feel your pain ma'am, and I hope I never will. The pain you feel is probably indescribable. RIP to the students and teachers, and to the families I hope you get the answers you need for some sort of closure. Keep pressing them until then! Someone needs to be held accountable for this massacre.
