The only way id go completely off grid would be a combo solar wind power with an emergency propane/ natural gas generator.

If the purlins tie all 5 beams together then changing the angle of the solar panels will take simultaneous coordinated cranking of all 5 jack screws to keep from twisting your solar panel array. Perhaps there is something I don't yet understand about your final installation because I can't concieve that a company would sell it to you with such a handicap.

I had noticed that Kim had inserted her initial bolts differently than what was started on that first post, but wasn’t going to comment anything. But when Norm asked to have them turned, I was glad you did it. It’s more than just OCD… it’s always wise to have the knuckle-buster bolt “protected” within the channel of a beam if possible. Looking good. You are giving us all a great “how-to” as well as showing how much effort goes into anything worthwhile having. Great job!

Take the end handles off adjustable jacks and put your drill on there.. be a lot easier and faster… ( if possible)

Hi norm an kim plus wee jazz this sure looks great you will have the solar panels up in no time . I have a similar sy4as your one except I can not only tilt an lift lower but mine rotating with the sun it all connected to a computer program and it has given my arrys about 38 % extra power generation as it follows the sun from sun rise to sunset . You both will get a lot of power as its in a great position. Happy New year all ghe best for 2024
