This song was released during a time when I was at my lowest. The world was coming out of lockdown and i felt more alone than ever. Before that my ex broke up with me and during those years Id use drugs almost daily to cope with loss of partner, friendships and high pressure from uni. Eventually i had a traumatic trip that made me question reality and i felt like i was losing control over my mind. I have never felt as scared and depressed before. I would listen to this album during those days to give me strength. After going to therapy and opening up to my family about my condition I quickly started to feel better. I started applying to jobs abroad and six months later i started an internship at Tesla. I now have a career im happy with and am in a good place in life. I hadn’t listened to this song in years until today when i went through my old playlist. I had a flashback of suppressed memories and just bursted out crying thinking about what my younger self had to go through. But also how far I’ve taken myself since then. To everyone carrying a heavy stone, you do not have to be alone even though it feels like that. Please share your struggle with someone.
