Young Canadians are being SHUT OUT of the summer job market

Young Canadians are being shut out of the summer job market and are being left behind. The reality is that while young Canadians can't find summer work, there seems to be plenty of people employed at entry-level jobs. They just don't seem to be Canadian. What is happening?

In fact, the number of temporary foreign workers hired at fast food restaurants has increased by 4,802%. You read that right. That is not an error.

Furthermore, temporary foreigners hired to be truck drivers increased by 361%. Something isn't right here.

Either young Canadians don't want to work or foreigners are being prioritized over Canadians. But when article after article says young Canadians want to work but can't, it becomes obvious what is actually happening.

When you are born here and have no choice but to live, work, and go to school here, and you can't even get a job. There is a big problem.
Use to be we lost jobs to other countries. Now we are losing jobs right here. To other countries.

I am a Chinese born Canadian and when I was in highschool and college it was easy to get a job. As the years go by and now I have a hard time finding even a low wage job. My current job is 90% Indian and Filipino foreign workers. They make up the lead hands and supervisors and the workforce. They only hire their own kind and promote their own kind while bullying the minority in the company giving them unfavorable jobs, less hours, and much more. It's so sad what our country has become. These people aren't Canadian. They don't treat people equally and with respect like Canadians do. They discriminate others while putting on a friendly show. It's disgusting. I am married to an Indian and my sister in law is Filipino. I'm not talking about the ones born here or have been here for a decade. I'm talking about the ones invading Canada through the liberals.

I am 25 in Kitchener Ontario and I have been out of a job since February after moving back home from living in Newfoundland and struggling for work there. I have applied in person, online, and have had no choice but to take government assistance which covers rent only. I have bills stacked to the ceiling. I have been a working CANADIAN for 13 years, half my life thus far. Until this last year and a half, I never ever struggled to find work. Now I’m a contracted nanny because I can’t even find a simple grocery store to work in. Half self-check out/half Indian. It’s concerning and the older generations seem to want to push it aside because it’s “racist” not to let people into our country?? Civilization collapse anyone?

In the last 4 months, almost every person working at every store I go to is Indian. And I am not kidding! Where did all the Canadians go that were working these jobs 4 months ago? It was a rapid change that is visibly obvious!

Young Canadian here, I work full time as a server whilst I go to school. I was looking for a second gig just to earn some extra savings. I have plenty of experience from food & drink, grocery, guest service/clerical work, retail, amusement parks, etc.. …gave up after 3 months of applying online, going in person just for resumes to be shoved in a binder, calling to follow up with hiring managers just to hear nothing. Thank God I have a job now, Lord knows how hard it is when you don’t have one…
Trudeau is destroying this country with his immigration policies, and this is why Gen Z is more conservative now than boomers …
