Madam if after mbbs I did pg 3 year ms in orthopedic surgery in my country and gave mrcs during ms. After that can i just give frcs and become an consultant orthopedic surgeon in uk. Or do I need uk training again in orthopedic surgery to give frcs. And become a consultant.

Hello, kindly suggest something about opthalmology. I passed a 2 year post graduate diploma in opthalmology (DOMS) from India last year and now working as an opthalmologist in a private hospital. Still working on my surgical skills. Been getting a lot of discouraging comments on various posts regarding how impossible it is to enter into opthalmology speciality training in UK as it is highly competitive. I know it is, but can you guide me how to proceed further? I am appearing for PLAB in March this year. What all other routes can I explore? N yes, I want to work as a specialist consultant in UK someday.
