Most people don't know it, but this was the final rehearsal before the actual show. The rehearsal was so perfect that they decided to televise it.

Beauty of this song is unexplainable. Two pakistani legends singing 14th century’s gazhal written by Amir Khusro in Indian Braj bhasha. This shows the oldest and deep bond between these 2 countries. ❤️❤️

"Chaap" (lit.mark) means the "mehraab" a mark on Muslims forehead due to prostrating (sajda) during prayers. And "Tilak" refers to the red mark Hindus use on their forehead as a religious mark. Here Kusrau was alluding to the fact that he has forgotten his identity in his Master Nizam-ud-Din Auliya. It's a poetic symbolism and exaggeration to show his level of devotion, not that he was not a devoted Muslim. Complete devotion is a recurrent theme in Sufi "Tariqat", in all 12 houses of tariqat, especially the four great sufi houses of Sub-continent..

I am an Indian, but my home exists where music like this exists. There will be no boundaries for me, and if Pakistan is the land where Abida Parveen's voice echoes, then may my soul rest there for eternity.

Hi there everyone.  I am a 66yr old singer?songwriter from Florida.  I met I young man named Zui, about 3yrs ago online. and we have been friends since then. He sent me this beautiful song.  I have never been into this kind of music before, but after this I am serioulsy thinking of maybe buying a cd by these guys. More than just talented musicians.  they are very moving.  I dont know what they are saying, but I certainly doubt that it is violence.  I dont know if I am the only American on here, but I hope it does not matter.  we are all flesh and blood with souls and hearts.  Peace out my brothers and sisters
