"Chaap" (lit.mark) means the "mehraab" a mark on Muslims forehead due to prostrating (sajda) during prayers. And "Tilak" refers to the red mark Hindus use on their forehead as a religious mark. Here Kusrau was alluding to the fact that he has forgotten his identity in his Master Nizam-ud-Din Auliya. It's a poetic symbolism and exaggeration to show his level of devotion, not that he was not a devoted Muslim. Complete devotion is a recurrent theme in Sufi "Tariqat", in all 12 houses of tariqat, especially the four great sufi houses of Sub-continent..

He sent me this beautiful song.  I have never been into this kind of music before, but after this I am serioulsy thinking of maybe buying a cd by these guys.
