5d Mark 4 in silent shutter mode. It has a very unique sound to it. Oddly satisfying.

SHUTTER SOUNDS has less to do with the shutter mech than it does with the FRAME materials and construction, the D850 is so darn loud cause it doesnt have a central polymer or carbon mirror box section, rather full magnesium, so its very loud, like ringing a bell

The sound of a solid shutter is sublime. I like the Nikon d850, Z7, Panasonic S1r and Olympus OMD1 sounds myself . Camera feel in the hands and the clack of certain shutters are alluring for sure .

Tbh the best shutter sound I have ever heard is on a nikon f4 SLR. That sucker is just a beauty of a camera.

The A9 sounds exactly like my previous camera A7. I miss that sound on my A7 III.

I liked this demo! Noisy shutters have always irritated me but I still use P67s & Hassys etc. *clunk!* Compromises! Next time add some leaf shutters or a Leica M film body for fun comparison! I 🥰 my Oly Pen-f!!

Would probably be more useful if there was a lens on each as that would make a fair difference to the sound.

Really missing the film advance with digital cameras... I had an F4 and it sounded sublime; i.e. the F4 was used in the song "Girls On Film". I no longer have it and I'm also getting rid of my F100 which I've shot for years. I replaced it with an F5 this week and haven't had enough time with it to really appreciate the shutter/film advance sound of it yet.

Fujifilm X-H1 has the best sound ever, yet you didn't even include one of Fuji cameras in this..what a shame!

Love the squeaky rubber boot sound that the a9 and a7rii have. So weird

In real life, these cameras would sound totally different. Even for the same camera, the shutter sound would vary a whole lot from one lens to another. Typically a cheap plastic lens would produce a rickity sound, while a heavier lens (metal) would produce a much more solid sound.

I would like to nominate the Canon 600D and 550D as some of the most delicious camera shutter, that mecanicsl sounds rivals that of the Sony a9 <3

What an awesome video, the sound of the shutter does make a big difference, especially to me, my favs, Hasselblad H4D (insane, real mirror slap) and my Leica S2, both you really have this feeling that something has taken place. My least favorite, Canon 5DSR and Canon EOS-R. Great video. :D
