I adore bookmarks too! My collection has also grown due to my travels. I enjoy listening to classical music while reading. I have certain tunes attached to certain books. Every time I hear the music I think of the book. I break the spines but very gently. I really enjoy your videos because you do not ramble!!!

I love learning about other people's reading habits. Reading is something so personal and sometimes I forget others may do things differently than myself! I do my best to keep my books nice but I annotate almost everything I read, throw books into my purse, and don't purposefully break spines but usually do. I also buy really inexpensive books from the library which have lived full lives but then I find I don't worry as much. Books are meant to be read and I'm not sad to see one that reflects just that.

I love reading several books at once for the same reason as you. Once you get used it, it's not much different than the way people watch serial television shows. I'm starting to love bookmarks recently :)

Always good to get to know you more! I think spending a Friday might at home with some booze on a book is pretty much the INTJ dream haha

I also have quite the bookmark collection 😁 You and I also have the habit of attempting to match a bookmark to a book. I thought I was the only one who did that.

OMG, you’re the first person I’ve heard mention matching your bookmark to your book! Cosign!!!🤓

I'm with you on the spine-crack/how to care for a book. I was much more picky about it in the past, but like you I buy a lot of books secondhand so there's a good chance the spine has already been broken. I tend to handle my books with care, but within the realms of 'sense' - not going to lengths to avoid damaging it. Of course, I annotate a lot so most people would probably consider that as damage, haha. Jazz is the perfect background for reading, for sure. I almost always have Bill Evans in the background when I'm reading, studying or anything else that needs concentrating.

I don’t like to annotate my books but heckling an annoying character in the margins sounds brilliant 😂

Oh, a sunroom! I know I'm older than you, but would you consider adopting me? I'm very neat/clean, I'm quiet, and I don't eat much. You'd never know I'm there!

I usually have 5 or 6 books going and I am never confused between them. Nice video!! 💕

Ooh I love this video, I totally forgot about this tag & remember wanting to do it a while ago. I love bookmarks too. One of the funniest, silly little pre-reading rituals I have before grabbing a new book is picking a bookmark that vibes with my new read.

I read multiple books at the same time too and have no problem keeping characters separate. I mean, sometimes I do end up focusing on book in particular.

Yes, Jazz. I just discovered that jazz is very conducive to reading.

I'm so excited to have found your channel. I love your wide range (much like mine) and enjoy your reviews. Hope to find similar reviewers through your channel. I'm not at all against YA but I love a good variety. (Fiction, Non-Fiction, Memoir etc...) Love your personality too. (I want a glass of wine while I watch you review!)

I don't know if that's a top or a dress but it looks like a 60s style and it really suits you :)
Most of my books are second hand too so it takes the pressure off keeping them pristine!

Thank you for the tag!! So...funny story. I'm watching this tag and thinking 'this sounds very familiar' and it appears I did this tag a couple of months ago but under the name "Book Lovers' Tag". Not sure how that all happened! lol

When I was working I only read on subways, commuter trains and trains. Now that I am retired I read at home.

I am so happy to see this video! I've been wanting to ask you to do a video on weird reading habits!

I have an odd ritual that I absolutely have to perform when I start a new book, and I've always wondered if anyone else does something similar. I will "break a book up" by checking the number of pages and placing tiny paper markers at the quarter, half, and three quarters points, and if the book is larger, I will even do eighths. For me, it's a way of warming the book up and making friends with it before I start it, and I get a real pleasure of finding my little markers and mentally noting that I've "made it" to the half point, etc.

I also habitually whisper-read, which I started as a child and continue to do almost compulsively. I know that sounds annoying, and it probably is for others, but it functions almost like ASMR and helps me to concentrate on the material.

My husband listens to jazz while he reads! For me, jazz demands my attention, and I cannot have any background noise at all (except my weird whispering hahaha), or I will just read and reread the same paragraph over and over, and I've always envied those who are able to listen to music and read at the same time!

Btw I love that you heckle rude characters in the margins - that is so great, I may borrow it from you!! It has to be better than throwing the book, hoping to "hurt" them! Anybody else do that one? ;)

I love your videos, and look forward to each one! Go, you! 💜💜💜
