We have tested the new Google Pixel 7 and 7 Pro battery life against the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max and Samsung's best Galaxy S22 Ultra. We all know how good are the cameras of the new Pixel 7 and 7 Pro but how about performance? Does the new Tensor G2 Chipset by Google can finally be on par with the new iPhones and Galaxy?

The IPhones are amazing at battery life nowadays, props to Apple even though they have a smaller battery.

It would be great to test the battery on mobile networks 4g/5g. wifi battery tests are less realistic when you are out and about. it would also be interesting to see the downlink and uplink speed tests(ran one at a time) as well since the devices may have different modems and antenna configurations.

The real stress test for the battery is using it around town with 5G on. As you lose bars, the energy consumption is increased. Would love to see that review.

Keep in mind that all of these tests were done on wifi without a SIM card in the phone. Put in a SIM card and switch to mobile data and those battery life numbers drop by about half. So on the streaming test the Pixel 7 Pro would probably last about 5 hours.

thank you i needed to know this as the 7 pro will be my first pixel. after waiting 5 years for a good one. i love my s22 ultra and i get great battery i think. was hoping the pixel would keep up or beat a little. the s22 ultra was a nice upgrade from the 21 ultra for me as in Australia we get exynos chips but this year we got the snapdragon. way better.

In the first test while you flipped the small iphone the phone display turned on and it was full of battery 😢

I wonder if pixel adaptive battery will have some effect on battery tests like this? I mean, my 6a battery was underwhelming the first week I got it, but after that the battery is excellent.

Few questions. Did you have the adaptive battery setting on? Also how long did you use the Pixel phones before running these tests? As you know it takes at least 3 to 4 days or even a week before the phone sees how you use the phone and shuts down apps that run in the background to improve battery life. I feel you need to use the phone for at least a week before running such battery tests. I get a day and a half on my Pixel 6 Pro before running low on battery.

Weird...despite it has been said, that the iPhone 14 Pro's battery run dry after 16h18min when he turns the iPhone 14 Pro the Display is still working...look into the video at 2:37min and you will see the display is still working!
