[OBS 21] A Better Way to Do NDI??

This tutorial goes through getting the new NDI 3.5 Tiiks setup and working on OBS 21 and technically any other streaming app such as Streamlabs OBS or XSplit.

Again, this guide is intended for use by people who have a dedicated streaming PC they use to output to a streaming service.

I do have some questions.

1. You mentioned that the mic and webcam should be plugged into it directly. Is there a way to have your streamdeck connected to one of, controlling the other?
2. Did you test with XSplit et al?
3. How do you go about having Discord audio in your stream with this configuration?

How is the resource utilization?
What about the OBS source changing resolution?
Do either suffer when the "Gaming" monitor is being reconfigured, such as a game going true fullscreen?

what if i only want obs scene to be captured? the obs studio plugin did that, i don't want to capture everything. i'm also using stream labs obs now which supports ndi now

How would i get the mic on my gaming pc to get pickup by the stream? over ndi

for some reason my audio coming from my gaming desktop cuts out sometimes or entirely

First time I did this I got it all setup on my gaming machine. I go over to my streaming machine and open up Virtual Camera but all it gives me is the Command Prompt with a blinking underscore. Then a little bit later the Command Prompt closes and it opens up another little window saying, "Windows update needed" and "Microsoft Security Advisory 3033929 is required for this application. Press OK to install, or CANCEL to exit." Of course I clicked OK. It took to me the Microsoft website and I downloaded it. I even went to my Start menu and checked for Windows Updates and downloaded and restarted my computer. So I'm thinking everything's all good and I go back to Virtual Camera. But of course the same thing happened... I am so confused. I've done everything I can to stream but nothing has been working out for me. :( It's a darn shame. But thanks for the feedback!

Can you do 2 ndi sources from two different computers at once? I need to do a NDI source for my wifes gaming pc and one from my wifes streaming pc to capture her camera?

Have you tried Vmix’s Desktop Capture software? Its free/doesn’t require purchase of Vmix.
It is similar to the scan converter, but has long had support for full screen capture and also includes some simple settings (im pretty sure its GPU accelerated).
One difference is that you select which window/program to capture on the client PC, at which point VMix desktop starts streaming that NDI output.
