So just tell the top layer would need to be removed in order to powder coat. Sandblast the nickel? Are all chrome parts chrome, nickel, copper layers?

Thank you the great video. I understand the process for removing the chrome but, will the nickel and copper also be removed if left in the tank longer? I ask because I need to strip everything down to the steel so I can metalwork the object

I used sodium hydroxide like this. Mever had success. Why does it not do anything?

What are you using for cathode? And is that straight sodium hydroxide? What ph and temperature, do you try to keep the bath at?
