Giga Berlin | 2022-07-17 | Factory Upgrades

A part of the new parking lot in the south has been opened now (0:23). A new road connection is getting build on the other side of the main road (5:47). Most likely to redirect the traffic during construction on the main road.
The south wall of the cell production building is almost closed (6:10). Temporary cooling units (6:50) and some other temporary equipment like compressors (7:07) are getting installed outside of the building. The big chimney has been installed on the roof (7:20) and air ducts are also getting installed (7:40).
The office containers south of the drive unit building are getting removed (11:00) and the new area seems to be ready for concrete (11:20).
The temporary cooling units near the paint shop are getting removed (13:13) and the pipes for the final cooling units are getting installed at the central utility building (13:30).
The parking area in the north of the main building has been expanded (14:25) and the extension of the stamping section seems to be on hold (14:45) probably due to an ongoing court case due to the piles.
The new distribution area is progressing (16:35) and got a very dense row of lights in the east (17:00, 17:50).

Maybe not all are counting, but since 8 days ago there are about 30 more piles driven/screwed into the stamping press expansion ground. So there ARE actually things happening in that end, just not as fast :o)

If the solar panels can make the plant energy self sufficient, then it wouldn't worry about power cut as a result of gas termination by Russia. This is especially important for the upcoming winter season. But it still depends on contractors being able to continue to produce in an event of gas termination.

this is unbelievably slow progress... i know its fast for German standards, but it too slow for Tesla standards unfortunately.
