The best plugin or tool?
I would say there are 3 and I would start from the third place:
the new version of Wider, which has finally become complete as a plugin, without being limited to just stereo signal spread.
In second place I would put the 12 string acoustic, which has a really amazing sound for being a guitar emulation.
It undoubtedly competes with other far more distinguished plugins that are not free.
The top step of the podium undoubtedly belongs to Midnight Plugin Suites & Scarlett Plugin Suites - Focusrite and especially the first of the two: the Midnight Plugin Suites.
The graphical interface is very apt and appealing, and still seeing the classic Vu Meters instead of LEDs is always a big plus point.
The compressor is very transparent, clean and precise in its intervention and I am curious to test it as a mix bus compressor.
The Eq is really a nice Swiss Army knife and tested on a piano, it gave very good results, especially on the high frequency shelf, reminding me not a little of the result of the Maag 4, for that air it can give above 10Khz.
Focusrite's other suite is also very good and even then the compressor and eq are very well made and warmer than the Midnights.
The reverb is very interesting and cpu friendly, which not all reverbs usually are.
The Gate on the other hand is the only one of the two bundles that at first glance has nothing interesting or relevant compared to other products.
